I have managed to make a package for debian-like OS. Don't know how well it is but I hope users will tell about.

Warzone2100 2.3 -- made with checkinstall on Kubuntu 10.04 LTS.

Because Debian and Ubuntu dislike it, because they think the only place people should get software should be their repositories.

They're the ones who ensure the majority of downloads of Warzone on Linux, and the project is on good terms with them right now, and they're good for arbitrating copyright disputes.

Packages are usually made by their maintainers, it's best to remind them about update.
