Technically not running on the iPad then, its more like virtual desktop. Also the reason only an older version of warzone is available on the flash drive is mostly due to lack of development.

However for the game to run on the iPad/iPhone or any other mobile non laptop device, a hell of a lot of optimization and memory management would need to take place as well as a massive reduction in the footprint of warzone because we all know mobile devices are not known for massive amounts of memory.

Well the iPad is more of a netbook-ish device and it DOES have more memory.

the iPad runs on 256MB of RAM which is the same as the iPhone 3GS

I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure warzone covers the 256MB fairly well and of course Apple and its "cover my own ass" mentality means were prolly gunna be limited to only about 150-200MB accessible at run time.

Oh, Warzone runs fine in 256 MB; that won't be a problem.

Only problem is porting it over.
