You sure you have the final version? I see on flaME that there are 1-2 emty spaces between the oil and cliff. You cannot build on those?
They were supposed to be a little exposed to mortar fire, but I haven't thought that direct fire can get them...
Check this version - +2 oil in bases, forward oil in each base moved away from cliffs, fixed buried oil:

You know what, I think I might have had an earlier version. I re-downloaded the version from your first post, and you are correct--you can build 4 walls around both perimeter oil resources.
I tried the new new version as well, I think the 1-2 tiles back from the cliff helps a little. Yes, the AI was adept at shooting the oil resources from the low ground.
The extra two resources in the base corner should allow better base defenses.
Like I said before, nothing was major, it's a very well-done map, worthy of being packaged in the Warzone installer IMO. Keep them coming!
I'm still thinking about making a "nomadic" map, where the players must initially decide where to start building their bases. I'm still thinking how I'll manage to do that, right now I don't really know.

Would be too much about "who can memorize the oily region better"
If we could add the feature to allow scavengers to be allied with the AI this would make few 2 players maps really interesting (#1809)...including this one.

I played this map with DyDo AI, no bases and guess what? I had a massive scavenger force ravaging at my house before even building the basic structures. Those two initial trucks had just finished a research center, a factory, two oil wells and BAM! In my face. Is it supposed to do that?

The dydo-scav attacks human player only. The first scav attack starts between 2 and 5 minutes!!!
The scavenger attacking team should have max 10 droids. If this is not the case let me know.
