An idea
Alright, i dont know if this is even feasible or not; but i was thinking since the multiplayer community is kinda small maybe you could create somekinda friends lists function? To see when there online and such? Maybe even incorporate a chat feature? Maybe change the multiplayer lobby to something like warcraft 3's lobby that lists players as well as games? Dont know how much work it is, but just a thought.

Re: An idea
Incorporating social networking functions inside Warzone could cause an nice boost to the multiplayer landscape. The problem would be that, in order to login and track your friends, some type of centralised server would have to be set up.
If someone wouldn't mind writing this and hosting said server then it wouldn't be an issue ofcourse.

Re: An idea
We already have a centralized server; it's called the lobby server.
I'm not sure we want social networking functions, though. I'd far prefer we just implemented a warzone:// protocol, so we could just have all that stuff externally. Who wants to keep Warzone running in the background while waiting for a game, anyway? :/

Ok, im not sure what you mean by warzone protocol Zarel, How bout something simpler? Maybe just a counter of some sort that says something like there are X players online or something like that? And if you dont mind me asking, Why would the social networking be a bad idea, for lack of better words?
Rider, i would gladly try to write this and possibly host it, if i only knew how to do this coding stuff....

ok, maybe im just a little slow, but why keep warzone running in the background? i dont get it... I was talking about an improvment to the lobby server itself, not a separate program...

No, you're talking about an improvement to the lobby client, which I feel would be better served by a separate program than integrated inside Warzone as it currently is.
