The point is that there's no point - there's always a point, even when there's no point. In this case, the lack of a point makes the topic funny, and to be funny is the point of the topic. Now, we could think about that:

Is the topic funny because it is pointless, and its point is to be funny because of that?

Or it isn't funny because its point is to be funny because there is no point, but if we've got no point we can't have a funny one?

Isn't it? Or is that a lie? Or it's a lie that it's a lie?
