how to compile the source code under windows

now the lasted release version is 2.2.4，i want to study the source code，now the first step is to download the obtain the source and compile it，because i use windows XP OS and usually use visual studio IDE to program，so i need the source with the solutions file sln and project file ，can any body give me these files？ or tell me how get these files？
