warzone 2100 current version on open source

Post by volkswageos »

i have read some introduction of this game in the Internet ,many years ago,it was developed by pumpkin studio, and it was a commerce game ,now it became a open source, the original install file was about 800M ,now the file is just about 48M,will it lost some function and features than before?
there is a big difference between what you were told and what you think out !

It's because of the video sequences. Now they're not included in stardard installer - you can download them separately or during the installation (on beta 11a). High quality videos now are about 545 MB, but originally they used a different codec, and were bigger.

No. I got the PSX retail version (just for fun, of course I don't use it anymore), it's a single CD.

PC game was 2 CD, though. It was around 1 GB, total, but some of it was extras that weren't needed for the game.

I find this offensive :P
Well, I use to play PSX Retail version from time to time, just cheat a bit and you will get some extras to research like the Link Turret, which IS included in the game but not in the campaign..Guess Pumpkin wanted to include a skirmish mode in it but then stopped working on it.

I'll... pretend I don't know what you're talking about. If you're trying to make me feel mad, you already did. If you're trying to make me feel sad, you already did. If you are trying to make me laugh... you didn't.
