Re: what is the meaning of mod?
Like 'DyDo' or 'NTW' mods?
It's short form of 'modification' - they change the game. DyDo changes the way computer players play, NTW adds new buildings...
Game + Mod = a bit different game

Barely. In 99,9% of the cases, when someone speaks about a mod, in the forums, it's about modifications to the game.DuKe2112 wrote:In the forum mod means moderator.

OK, true for this forum. That should probably have read.
In a forum mod can also mean moderator.

Re: what is the meaning of mod?
When people talk about moderators, they usually say "staff" or "devs".
Also: The OP is probably a spammer.

I thought that myself, for a series of reasons, like the "?" character, username, picture and question itself. The board is also unadequated...Zarel wrote:When people talk about moderators, they usually say "staff" or "devs".

I also don't think it can be assumed that when people talk about moderators, they will use "staff" or "devs". It depends where they are from.

Re: what is the meaning of mod?
On second thought, I no longer think this person is a spammer. Did a few lookups on the signup information; it looks legitimate.Flank4 wrote:I don't think it is clearer, how can you tell?
That's why I said "usually", and made no such assumption. There was also an implicit "I recommend one of those terms, so it will not be confused with 'game modification'."Flank4 wrote:I also don't think it can be assumed that when people talk about moderators, they will use "staff" or "devs".
