Dydo is a great step forward for the game! Even though I will complain about some issues, I like this AI a lot and look forward to play newer versions.
I downloaded newest beta and played Dydo there. General 1, 2player map in Arizona. advanced bases
One tactic owns Dydo:
- start building cyborgs (10-20) and use them to protect nearby oil derrics, research minirockets + mortars and place mixed defense of heavymachinguns, minirockets and artillery as backup (artillery is not usually needed at that point) - dydo is not able to break this defence, sometimes I have to rebuild some cyborgs and thats all. In the last game 3 heavymachineguns towers, 6 minirockets and 4 mortars were enough to hold dydo for quite a long time (with cannon fodder cyborgs between the towers).
- have 5 research centers, top priority is to research technology that allows faster research (synaptic branch). As a consequence, I get very quickly nice economy boost (vapor tourbines etc) AND autorepair AND lasers.
- rest research goes to minirockets and artillery. Sometimes lancers.
- during the game I slowly expand, using howitzers/bombards as defence breakers and high number of cyborgs as a cannon fodder (some tanks between them with stronger weapons like lancers). Dydo does not have a way to destroy many weak cyborgs.
Things that Dydo does wrong:
- it does not recognize that my army is mostly cyborg and it builds against them minirockets
- I do not "research all" but have a quick research path that leads me to more advanced technology faster. Dydo is slow at research, because it still uses t1-t2 weaponry when I have t3 already
- it can not defend against artillery protected by some droids (it ries to counterattack, but my droids are enough to protect artillery)
- i did not see a single vtol during the game, don't know why

It would be great if vtols attack my artillery
- dydo still sends trucks to death, when my artillery has oil in range and dydo wants to build derrick there
Good things:
- attack groups were larger
- some new templates were interesting
- it counterattacked when my artillery started attacking its base (failed, but tried!)
- base had better defence than in previous versions
