Crash to desktop: 2.2.4 Release build on XP

Post by Gforce »

I have tried playing two games in Single Player Skirmish mode. Both "crash to desktop" without any dialogs about an hour into gameplay. I've attached the rpt file. Playing on a P3 800 w/ 768 MB ram. GeForce 6200 w/ 256 MB. Windows XP SP2. Release build 2.2.4

I've attached the report file. My apologies if this isn't the correct location for bug reports.

This crash is probably from your computer overheating. Your computer is a bit too old to run Warzone without these kinds of problems.

Suggestions:
- Turn off shadows.
- Turn off sound.
- Play at lower resolutions.
- Save often.

Edit: jk, that looks like a legitimate crash. I'll look into it later.

Some of those crashes are what looks like video driver crashes. Make sure you are using the latest video drivers from Nvidia.

I also think you should use 2.3 beta 11a or newer.
and it ends here.

Ok. I'll update to latest devel. and try again.

Edit: So far so good... with current devel I was able to play a whole game. I wonder if it was related to texture size (I may have changed that during the reinstall on accident).
