Well I now know which function is causing the error but that error shouldn't happen there. Did you get a different error message or the same one as the last time?
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

Simple, the path doesn't exist, in other words you don't have a multiplayer mod folder.
The first version didn't catch this but the debug version did because I fixed a small error in the error handling code, one of those things that look like they should work but don't.
in a couple of days a corrected version will be in the mod manager thread

how did you solve your no text problem ? because i have the same problem.
my system configuration is
AMD 2500+ sempron
via/S3G UniChromePro IGP
762 Mb of Ram
i have downloaded the both latest beta and the stable version but both of them failed to show any text on the screen. Please anyone help me to solve the problem.

I haven't fixed my no text problem. it still doesn't work on my hi-grade laptop but does work on my IBM laptop.

And in the future, don't get crappy integrated video from Via/S3 or intel, until they start making better drivers.
