game can load but...

Got a problem. I recently downloaded the wz2100 2.2.4 and installed it. All went fine, no problems, loaded it up, menu goes fine, and can load up a game. Unfortuantly thats where the problem is too. I load up a game and it comes up with the loading screen, music and all. The white and black lines at bottom. The lines go but the screen stays, but i can select things on screen, like the game is there and loaded, but the loading screen just doesnt go. I hope i explained that properly.
I have:
windows vista 32 SP 1&2
intel celeron 1.6GHz
1GB Ram
mobile intel 945GM graphics
I couldnt see if this problem had been posted up before, so thought i would write it up now anyway.
(is there any use in installing from the original warzone disks? I still have them)

There is most likely your problem. Try upgrading your graphics drivers.

Any other possible solutions? I can't seem to update my driver, keeps saying the driver I'm trying to install is not the right one for my system (though I am choosing the right one...)

Are you so sure you're choosing the right one?

Right click on "My Computer" -> "Properties" -> "Rating" -> "View and print details".

It should say the name of your video card right there. "Mobile intel 945GM" is the name of your chipset, not your video card. The actual name of your video card should be "Intel GMA 950" or "Intel GMA X3100".

Yep, the only one I can select is the latest driver for laptop windows vista 32, mobile intel 945gm chipset. The name of my graphics cards is GMA950 but still uses the same driver update, and still no success. Obviously theres somehting wrong with my laptop (3 years old, brought from tesco, low end), but thats something else. Any other possibilites?

'nother update. Decided to install beta v11. Had exact same problem with that. Checked the stderr.txt file and got this:

Roll back to an old version of the driver? I think Rman has a copy of an Intel driver that works with Warzone.

Your error log suggests nothing unusual.

Turn off the Aero theme if you are using it. It tends to not work well with OpenGL applications.

Turning off the aero theme has worked...to a point. The loading image still remains, but the information stuff such as the power bar, dialogue, time and stuff like that appears. But still no game world view. i've turned off visual themes, tried running compatibility in older windows version and same as the new result. Thanks for the help though one step closer!

I think the problem is that your computer doesn't meet minimum system requirements, which is what's causing this.

Install Windows XP? Or Linux?
