I've been without the internet for some time. These are builds that are a product of boredom. Hope someone finds something useful here.
---Trank Rush---
Factory
*2 trucks
Research
+MG
Command Center
*MG tank pump
+MG tower
/Scout with 1st tank
Power Generator 4th truck getting derricks in base
(MG Tower in middle of base if they are truck rushing)
Factory
*2x MG tank pump
Scouting before you attack with this is key. If they're making tower in their base, then you have to rethink game from here.
If they're not making tower, then when the second factory finishes send everything except for one truck to the enemy's door.
Have the truck you leave behind start a power generator. Once at the entrance to enemy base, have truck start a tower just
in range of closest building. You're gonna move your army in as your truck start the tower. From here push in with towers.
=======================
---TMG/HT Rush---
Factory
*2 trucks
Research
+MG
Command Center
*MG tank pump
+MG Bullet
Factory
+MG Bullet
Power Generator
1 truck to each oil derick
3 trucks build 2nd res lab, 1 truck out to find enemy / take oil
+Engineering
2 trucks build 2nd power gen, 1 truck out to start claiming oil around map.
+HMG
+HT
With the two trucks at home build more power gens and 1 more res lab, order is up to you.
When HMG and HT are finished, swap your production to pump as many as you can.
========================
---HT Rush---
Res lab
+Engineering
Factory
*2 trucks
Power Generator
1 to each Oil
Factory
+HT
3 trucks Res Lab, 1 truck scout / claim oil
+MG
+MG Tower
2 trucks Factory 1 truck claim oil around map
As before, use the trucks at home to make more power gens/ res labs/ factories as needed. When HT finishes swap over and roll out. Try to get a truck with your army to make towers while you're fighting.

What if your opponent has a couple of (heavy) MG towers with tanks when you arrive at their base?
Full of ideas - Most are probably useless. Feel free to ignore them

If I see that my opponent getting MG towers himself I start my way to ressing Light Cannon if I used either of the first two opens. If I went for the third open then I work my way to Mini Rocket Pods to outrange them.Mats wrote:What if your opponent has a couple of (heavy) MG towers with tanks when you arrive at their base?
Either way it goes, Towers don't scare me. 3-4 tanks can take out a tower without losing anyone if you micro it properly.
Also, these aren't end all strats, they are just a place to start. Although, a lot of players will lose to the first strat if they don't see it coming.

I wonder if that "pre-made openings" don't take out too much fun from the game. Tower rushes are the most boring things to see, IMO, and rushing is also pretty tiresome - is the game about winning or having fun, after all? People who care too much about winning no matter how boring the strategy often become addicts, rather "consuming" the game instead of enjoying it.tehloserer wrote: If I see that my opponent getting MG towers himself I start my way to ressing Light Cannon if I used either of the first two opens. Like those folks who drink a whole bottle of good wine in one large sip, trying to prove "they have balls".

Re: 3 T1 no base openings
I've never played against a human player, but I suspect rushing just wouldn't work as long as you were prepared (and I think any good player would be expecting a chance of a rush 1 vs 1 especially). Sure, you can try to rotate tanks to avoid dying to the towers, but the enemy tanks can just target the weak ones anyway while the heavy MG towers do large amounts of general damage. If you turn up with mini-pods, your opponent can bring mini-pods too and bring out cyborgs (which are cheap as chips too) to destroy them. Your opponent will have their factories etc right next to their base whereas you need to travel a distance to reach their base and I also suspect your losses will be higher than theirs and so you will be losing power overall.
Just my two cents.

Well, usually that happens when you try to rush against a human player. The worst is when you're on a FFA game, especially 4-player ones, and the guy tries to rush, keeps insisting, isn't succesful and leaves both involved sides in disadvantage from the very beginning of the game.Mats wrote:I've never played against a human player, but I suspect rushing just wouldn't work as long as you were prepared (and I think any good player would be expecting a chance of a rush 1 vs 1 especially). Re: 3 T1 no base openings
I wrote these not as bragging points, but enlightenment. I remember using the first open a lot before I lost the internet and players would either say I was cheating, tell me I was noob, and sometimes not that often they would ask how I did it.
I know that this is a game, and games are meant for the enjoyment of all players. Think back though to the first time you looked at the tech tree. How daunting was it to try to see a clear path to victory, let alone what you thought was what you wanted. Not a fun time as I recall. When I stumbled onto the first open and won 10 in a row with it, I was having fun for the first time in WZ2100. I merely seek to brighten the path of others that feel overwhelmed with where to start. In the end the benefit will fall to the greater good.
