Indetsructible enemy units in campaign mode

I'm running 2.2.4 on Vista 32-bit. A few missions into the campaign, I have a problem I had to use cheat codes to get around. After clearing all enemy structures and all of their units I can find, there are 3 shapes remaining that appear embedded in the ground that identify as enemy units. They seem indestructible, and so the mission timer runs down.

It's the mission where you first find the building that's supposed to have the synaptic link tech we're looking for. Eventually, I just used "let me win" to get by it. If there are specific steps to help resolve the problem, I'm happy to follow suggestions.

Upgrading to 2.3 beta 10 should fix your problem.
