Walls in wrong direction?

Post by Saberuneko »

Sometimes when I queue the construction of some walls with cannons, something like this happens.
It's a bug? Or it's only that I'm building the walls on an incorrect order? (This never happened to me before)

Sorry, but I forgot taking a screenshot, so I made some simple schematic of the situation:

Walls also adapt to some non-wall structures like sensors, if you build a wall next to a sensor it may turn in wrong direction

Does the wall turn to the correct direction after it is completed, or is it just the hologram that is incorrectly rotated? I have noticed that once all but one of the walls in a stretch of walls is completed, the remaining one's hologram turns to a North-South orientation. However, the wall is built in the correct orientation.

Nope, the final result is as I displayed in the schematic. Not the queuing hologram.

What version? Because if it's in the current beta it might be a bug and should be submitted as a new ticket.

When I submitted, I experienced the bug on Beta9... but I haven't been able to reproduce it again... So, it's maybe some weird case. I'm just not sure atm...

It is.
There are lots of those with walls and defenses.

Hmm... Ok, but well, I still have the complaint about the walls getting in wrong direction when built next to a sensor tower...

Hmm I just tried, the wall keeps changing position, and I could cause the bug again, it happens if I first do the wall and then I do a turret. :/ (The wall doesn't turn for facing right position)

In some other cases, sometimes it turns into a wall corner, (which looks worse) or just weirdly keep the correct position.

So, I have to build turrets first, then fill between them with walls, and finally build the sensor towers or whatever else with an empty space of one square.

EDIT: Another thing, don't worry very much about this, I was just playing another game called "Space Clash" and I had similar problems when building the walls. :P So I think it's a common problem on other games.
