Port 2100?

Hey, i'm trying to host a game and have a couple of my friends join. But when I make the server, it will always say something like "Error communicating with lobby, make sure port 2100 is open." I tried turning my firewall off, but it didn't help any. How do I open said port?

Thanks! It took me a short while to figure this whole thing out (I'm not very bright with networking) but I managed to figure it out. The message error is gone, but i still have one more question. Does everyone I want to play with also have to do this? or just the host?
