Help with new release on Mac
I am running Warzone (newest release) on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and when my computer re-starts the game will not start anymore. I am a novice gamer and have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Re: Help with new release on Mac
You may wish to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6. 10.5.8 has a few bugs relating to OpenGL.

I think you won't... can't be sure, though; I've never upgraded a Mac myself. Sorry.

No, you won't lose anything. I've upgraded two Macs now, and neither of them has lost anything critical. The worst that may happen is you may have to re-download a few items of software, such as Firefox(if you have it), Warzone, etc. You may lose some nonrecoverable files such as pictures, however, so I would recommend backing up pictures and the like before you upgrade.

Especially the Void between the ears of people who think that No VTOL is a good idea, and won't lead to arty wars. I've won one, and I have to say: I hated it.

Thanks Gunner, pics are the big concern...I have 2 little ones and if I lose those pics I will be sick and my wife will find me in "contravention of her Paradigm".Assault Gunner wrote:No, you won't lose anything. You may want to consider trying the fix i posted here.

No promises but it might save you having to pay for something not needed.

always , always, always, always, have a backup plan and stick to it... ie: grab one of the free open source backup software and make a back up of your hard drive. if possible to another hard drive( external ) . that way - you will not loose anything. or. if you have a dvd burner - back up your important files there. make sure all your emails and addresses and pics , docs, etc are backed up. just advise from some one who lost data in the past...ajl1176 wrote:Thanks Gunner, pics are the big concern...I have 2 little ones and if I lose those pics I will be sick and my wife will find me in "contravention of her Paradigm".Assault Gunner wrote:No, you won't lose anything. Here's my referral link to MozyHome (with it, you can get 2.25 GB instead of the normal 2 GB of space). It's an online backup service that's completely transparent - you can just set it up and forget about it.

Re: Help with new release on Mac
Just want to thank everyone above for their assistance. I now have upgraded to OS X 10.6 (nice), stored all data on external HD (thanks for the motivation), and have awesome graphics on the new (3.0) release for Macs. I also just want to add that I haven't touched a video game sine I had an original Nintendo around 1990 or so. Just wanted to point out that this game is so good that it pulled me back into video games.
