I don't know... maybe a superweapon with a larger Area of Effect would be nice... but that's why we have fortresses and LasSat mods that make the LasSat's AoE larger, or give you more than one.

Especially the Void between the ears of people who think that No VTOL is a good idea, and won't lead to arty wars. I've won one, and I have to say: I hated it.
