help me in some tactics

hi everybody can some help me with some tactics y played some skirmishes with the computer but where is the best why to defend my base first i build another generator for the other oils derricks then i make 7 construction tanks then i made some viper half tracks light cannons some mini pods tanks,flamer cyborgs,and some repair turrets tanks but i maded some harpoints to defend the oil derrick from the enemy attacks and some mortars mrl emplacement and some bunkers and mini ricket pods towers but the enemy comes to attack me whit a bunch of light cannons,some mrl tanks,some mini pods tanks and thats is annoying because im starting the game and they are using cobra body ind the starting i only use viper and then bug body for the resource reason and i give battle to the AI but then they use lancers and a lot of them and they destroy a lot of my units so i need help give me some tactics to easy defeat the AI in skirmishes the best way to research the lancers,heavy cannon, and hpv cannon please help me i want to be a better player than now

ah i forgot something whats is that bar in the skirmish menu (is the resources for the ai or is the difficulty???)

I like to use cyborgs (cannon and flame) when the AI makes rockets as they are not very good against cyborgs.

Then if needed make HMG bug Tracks for the cyborgs...this is also very cheap and not to slow.

Also you MUST not lose all your tanks on low oil, set them to retreat at medium damage, and build two repair centres at your base, this is a must to keep your units alive.

This is my early low-oil strategy, for high oil it is a bit different...

For me I research mortars as soon as I can, then I build walls with mortars behind them this counters lancer tanks as they have the range.
You need to have scensor towers so you can have to mortars fire at max range
The nasty AI cheats it builds more tanks then any player can afford.
So blow them away with cheap mortars they fast to research too

i build long range artillery sites, people say that that never works, or is a stupid thing to do, but i like to build hell storm and ground shaker enplacements, protected by some close range weapons such as bunker, or later on lancer and laser turrets, and of course rocket pods, ripple rockets and later on archangel emplacements, put a sensor and a CB sensor there, and there u go, most enemies will be detroyed before they come even near u!! works for me everytime! you onley have to find the perfect spot to put them

thanks for your tactics this helps me too much in skirmish whith the ai but give me some tactics when the ai has an ally because whith the tactics you give me i defeat the ai whith no ally but when i put alliances the nasty ai makes some ally then broken the alliance and then again they do an alliance and i cant fight whith 3 ai vs me at the time help me i want to defeat multiples ai in the game a question for you the ai have high resources or what because they build a lot of tanks

like i said; build long range artillery, it keeps the enemy off, giving you the peace and time you need to build your own army, and dont forget to put some AA next to the ARTY so it doesnt get destroyed by VTOLs
