Audio Stuttering after some minutes in 2.3_beta4

Every time i play warzone in multiplayer or in skirmish mode the sound starts to stutter after round about 15 minutes depending on how much units are in the game at that moment. The stuttering sound is still existend when I return to the main menu. If I save the game,restart warzone and load the game again, the stutter disappears. I had the same problem with version 2.2.4 but not with 2.1.0 from the ubuntu repository. I tried to use oss to solve the problem but warzone runs only with alsa on my computer.

I am using:
kubuntu 8.04 64 bit
amd 64 processor 2 X 2.2 GHz
warzone 2100 2.3_beta 4 built from source
