Back on track now, if you are going to have more space then seeing is believing. You can say that you are going to put spacecraft on the map and strip ladies if you want, but until you do, its just wasted letters on the forum.

I wont write no more until you have your so called 2.5 up an running... lets see how that comes out.

And coyote... man what the heck... those were not bad words... maybe not nice, but definitely not bad.

I feel the need to comment.
Making maps and mods is time consuming, if someone makes an effort then they contribute to the betterment of the game.

i expect a map to be made where you have BOTH contributed in some way... failure to produce said map will result in some serious butt kicking. :scream:

Well, I think you've done a good job so far. A large number of the tiles are randomly rotated, the map isn't completely symmetrical, you've spread the oil out fialry well and there are starting bases.

However, ther are things I think you could improve on, for startets get rid of the missile fortresses unless your map is designed for late T3 game play, they are just way too overpowered early on.

Adding some scavengers (player 7) might be a plus point.

I also noticed that your cliffs weren't textured very well in the corners:

In situations like this, you can use tile 18 to make it flow nicely:

Another thing to note is the 'tri-direction' of tiles which is essentially the diagonal line that the tile folds on. This can be easily seen if you switch to wire frame mode:

By changine the tri direction (ctrl+t) you can make the corner cliff tiles look better (in my opinion):

Where do you find those shortcuts for the commands like Control+T? i seriously am always clicking 90-180-270-360 degrees so i can simple rotate the tile, so where can i find them?.

I don't like them either :stare:

Think they like TurtleWar so they can actually use the tanks and research added to the game
it takes hours to get SCOURGE or any good weapon (high tech) with 4 oil dedricks.

If your asking if I like high resourse then the answer is no.
But as it goes we all have different ways of playing, may I suggest that you make 2 or more maps to suit the different flavours of play one with very low oil and another with high oil that way you can play the same map in different ways.

My thoughts about this: maybe 4 oil each is too low but more then 8 is too much for me, a bit of money management should be part of the game. The ideal map for me is with 4 oils in the base, 2-3 near the base, plus 3-6 oils spread around the middle of the map.

The 4 oils in the base are the minimum to survive. The 2-3 near the base are the ones you should never loose, the ones in the middle of the map are the ones you have to fight for to achieve superiority.

An example: SK-Rush and SK-Rush2 are well balanced maps.

Hello

I said i wouldn't make any more maps but i never said i couldnt improve them
So i gathered up a few things i wanted to add to Rev2 and put them into the an improved map
I made a couple improvements.

8c-TP.wz--This is an improved version of Rev2 alot of oil and really fun!
Try the map dont sit here and watch me describe it!

8-TPL.wz-- You guys didn't think ill let you low oil loving fans out right?
I just decreased the oil, 8 each player :) Not exactly 4 oil each but....its better than 20 or more. right?

Then again i know they are not the best but you know i tried :(

Report anything weird like any bug.


*UPDATE*

-Added gateway (now works with Dydo AI!)
-Decreased oil for TPL (reduced to 4)

I tried your low level oil map, there is lots of oil
I was using dydo-ai and it did nothing the stderrtxt had lots of errors
I dont know if its the ai or your map or warzone 2.2.4
but playing this map was a non event with the ai
other maps the ai functions nicely.(no errors)
I start games at tech 1 no fancy buildings for me
:)
I was wondering if this map is set to the highest tech level to start with so its trying to do things default tech level will not allow

The answer to this issue can be found here, the issue is related to the fact the map has no gateways.
