Be more specific. OS, define "load," etc.

OS = win xp sp3
version 2.2.4.0
yes, i have read the faq, and help and I still cant get a
map to load up when i start a new game.
by load, i mean, you put the map.gz into the map folder, and
then run warzone2100.exe
typical install, and ive not changed anything
yet, no new map

Re: maps - or lack there of
ok, that gives me an idea of where to look
and the format of the directories.
thank you, if theres anything further that i need, i'll
let you guys know.
mods, while nice, can be difficult to implement!

No... that is wrong.lav_coyote25 wrote:here - follow this maybe... see if this helps.NOTE: you need to have the map files in both places as seen in the pics.

The maps *must* be in only ONE location, and that is your 2nd pic. (your config directory in /my documents/...)
However, it is *still* wrong. Do not place those extra *.addon.lev files with the .wz files! They do not belong there, and can cause issues with the game.
There is already the correct *.addon.lev file inside the .wz file. That is all the game wants.
The way you do it, it sees 2 files, and it loads everything up twice!
Hope that clears things up?
and it ends here.
