Wierd Problem with warzone....
Okay, I have my computer set to 1024x768 resolution. And its 32 bit. But when I run warzone, everything is like retarded. The words are blotched blue, when i start playing everything is like blotches. But, when I set to 16 bit, it runs normally, but extremely slow. If someone can help? Also, if a screenshot is needed, just ask!

Certainly sir! Computer specs as follows:
AMD AthlonXP 2100+ 1.73 GHz
S3 Graphics controller 32 MB shared (onboard)
256 MB Ram (224 Available for usage)
Anything more? Cannot wait to get this game up and running!

I think that graphics card is too 'weak' for wz...cubanresourceful wrote: Certainly sir! Computer specs as follows:

1.try running wz in full screen mode if you were running in windowed mode
2.try reducing your resolution/lowering color bits/disabling shadows...
3.waits for someone to fix the renderer if 1,2 dont help...
tasks postponed until the trunk is relatively stable again.

Do you use Windows or Linux?

32MB VRAM is very near to the minimum if you don't have any AGP-RAM or similar set up.

Yes, its similar to that thread. I will try and do what you guys suggested. BUT...Im trying to run it on my desktop, because my laptop, although it has a stronger video card (32 MB NVIDIA), it lags alot. I run Ubuntu on my laptop, Windows XP set to classic mode for performance on my desktop. Thanks for the help. Ive noticed my desktop has problems with OpenGL, are there any command line options in disabling some of the modes?

Re: Wierd Problem with warzone....
Okay, shadows or no shadows it doesn't work, but here's something pretty wierd. Picture 1 demonstrates how it looks when I play the game. Picture 2 demonstrates how the menu looks. BUT....look at picture three! Somehow, it looks normal right? But what is NOT normal is how I make it play like that. I have to run the game, fullscreen, press CTRL + ALT + DEL to access task manager, then close task manager, then go back to the game. Notice how it didn't go back to fullscreen, I even instructed the trucks to build an oil derricks, but nothing. Very strange, no? I found this out running the game, then having to CTRL + ALT + DEL out and paste what I Print Screened into paint. Why does it happen like this? O.o

Re: Wierd Problem with warzone....
not sure what kind of 32MB nvidia card you have, but I heard that cyka's riva TNT2 32MB card runs 11 fps in wz without shadows...(apparently it's not because of wz's polygon count/texture quality)
try to read the text in your 2nd screenshot...Notice how it didn't go back to fullscreen, I even instructed the trucks to build an oil derricks, but nothing. Very strange, no?

If I go back to the main menu, the text looks fine too. This is for my desktop, that has a S3 Graphics controller, not a NVIDIA!
If it had a NVIDIA, I would be happy! But strange, why does this happen...? Is something on my computer itself screwing it up? Im going to try this for games that text also is blurry too, and see what happens.

2.bmp looks awfully similar to a bug we had with mission briefing subtitles being rendered badly. Although I somehow doubt that one is related to this one.

you could try different video card drivers. Manufacturers always say "make sure you aquire the newest driver version" but sometimes new drivers screw up old software.

Re: Wierd Problem with warzone....
To me this looks like missing textures. And as the textures during normal game are also missing, I don't think this is affected by the font-texture bug, which should be fixed anyway.
