Military formation

I came across to read this thread - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=345&p=2786, referring to military formation.

Does this mean that the warzone engine support (or require some enhancement) something like Medieval Total War? For instance, users can choose the formation, which has implication to the fighting, for a unit.

Reading the thread you linked to would answer your question.

All the formation code is ensure that your army stays roughly in one group, and that it puts your tanks into a box formation once they reach their destination.
