2 players same color mp

This has been a frequent problem in mp game rooms that 2 players end up getting the same flag color and 1 out of the 2 has no # for its position. Neither player is able to change it color and even if the player with double leaves then comes back. The player is unable to check the box to show they are ready. Is there a particular reason for this or any fix?

It is a known issue with 2.2.x series. It is fixed in trunk (whatever version that ends up being). It is unlikely to be fixed in the 2.2.x series, unfortunately.
