Map crashes in game

Get some help with creating maps or modding.
Need a map editor or other tools, look here!

Hello

I have removed everything from Warzone2100 (EW32 and all gameversions) from my computer. Then I installed the EW32 and Version 2.2.3 new. After the installation I downloaded the two maps river-canyon.wz and greatmap.wz and threwed them into the /maps folder. So there is no problem to play on these maps.

But if i put the testmap10a.wz (which is included in the EW32) or for example this simple mytestmap1.wz (which I made)
into the /maps folder it doesnt work ingame. Although testmap10a and mytestmap1 are listed in game and i can select them to start a skirmish or multiplayer game on it.
But if i select one of them there is no map preview shown (also if i click on the eye to see the map).
And if I click ready it starts... loading... and then crash... im in windows again O_o

Thats my prob - please help

I opened your mytestmap.lnd in 32EW checked it out, did not see any problems so compiled my own map.wz and it ran fine in-game. Here is the map.wz I compiled attached..

As for map10a - there are many probs with it I do not have time to fix now but all are the same thing... placing more than one Object on the same tile like, for example, 2 Hard Points on one tile. This is really easy to fix and see in the 2D Map Window.... when 2 objects are on the same tile you get a sorta double imaging of the Icon - right then and there you can separate the objects and place each in their own tile.

Hello whippersnapper

I downloaded the mytestmapA.wz and it works, I can play on the map and it shows me the map preview normally.
So I think there must be something wrong with my compiler, do you already know what that could be?

During my compiler does not work as it is now, can I please send you some maps I'll create during the next few days?
Would be very nice if you just shoot them through your compiler and attach them here again.

If they're perhaps buggy just write it, I'll correct the mistakes myself because I dont want to steal your time ;)

Hey there,, I could do the compile but I think what's happening is you are not using the correct .executable

Make sure you are using the 32EWc.....

If you use the stock older 32EW.exe WITHOUT that "c" then your compiled maps won't run on the current game binary. So first make sure you have and are using the newer 32EWc.exe which you can DL seperately in the map bb but I'm not sure it's included in the total pkg distro of 32 EW.... if not, it should be, imho.

Exactly THAT was my fault... I just used the wrong version of Editworld32... :-S
I already compiled a map succesfully and played on it!
