just my thoughts-

I personally really like this. For me, the best part of WZ2100 is how INTELLIGENT all the units are. After playing WZ2100, when I go back to games like Red Alert, Starcraft, or even a newer RTS, i usually just end up in frothing, screaming, rabid fits of rage. Little things, such as units actually firing on enemies while moving (oh gosh, so hard to do!) auto repair, etc- just what I love about WZ2100.

In summery (ahem), every other RTS assumes that your fighter-people are dumb as rocks, and it plays out thusly. WZ2100 is way above that, and while "automation" to an extreme is bad, I think this is def a good addition. Props!

I would go for

hold position: do only what the player wants.
guard: only repair damaged buildings/structures.
follow: priority is repair else assist in building new buildings/structures.

I'm inclined to say "no." For one thing, it could lead trucks going into trouble. Secondly, leaving oil resources untapped is a good trap for opponent's trucks, especially the AI, and I'd like to keep that possibility.
