Help concerning unit manuevering?

Post by cryora »

Anyone know how to deal with these problems that I have:

It gets kinda annoying when you tell your unit to go somewhere and they get stuck, or sometimes they'll just stop moving for some reason.

Another thing that annoys me is when I want my units to stay still, but even if I order it to hold ground, it will still move to get out of the way of another vehicle that wants to get by, and it ends up getting the unit killed by an enemy Lancer tower.

Also, when I assign units to a Commander or Sensor, there's no way to really control the movement of your assigned units themselves is there? They just follow whoever they are assigned to?

When this happens, open the command panel (numpad-0) and tell the unit to hold position then set it back to move.
Death to all,
And all must die!
That's the motto,
I'm living by!

Yeah... maybe pathfinding can be better.

Good way for real emergency stops is to select all units in an area and repeatedly hit "s".

Yep, which is why commanders are kind of useless in my opinion. Or rather, they don't fit my playing style...
