I see... It's probably a fontconfig issue. I have the same thing both on MinGW and MSVC builds, but the font is not thin in my case It's a dead end for now, since only the cross-compiled build for Win seems to use the specified fonts.

Heh. I fixed it by using the fonts folder from 2.2.
