Building Rotation?
I was reading on an old "Wish list" forum that a hotkey was discussed for the ability to use in game for building like factories can be rotated. Was this ever patched into current games mechanics?

Psh. Like anything from Wishlist threads are ever implemented.
Building rotation would really only make a difference for borg factories, and we just never got around to implementing it. :/

Re: Building Rotation?
Well, the map i was just playing had like two hills that dipped into eachother like an H formation, so being able to rotate building would have helped me keep my high ground and units flowing out, but after awhile they got crumpled up, or if i found myself at the bottom of the map, units that were slower were rather useless and i relied heavily on air units to simply bomb the units.
If i wanted to play air raids, id be playing Zerg.

It wouldn't even be very hard to implement. Walls are already rotated, so the support for it is in the codebase. It is more that everyone has more important things on their minds.

Re: Building Rotation?
I think it could be very useful if we could rotate structures (factories)freely and thus determine their exit.
Sometimes this would help avoiding traffic jams in bases with narrow roads and units will get to their rally points faster.

Well, it's more the UI aspect, and the UI wouldn't be too easy to implement.Per wrote:It wouldn't even be very hard to implement. Walls are already rotated, so the support for it is in the codebase. It is more that everyone has more important things on their minds.
