I go into fire wall and click "Add port"... it will give me:

Name: "Erm. Warzone 2100 Port A"
Port Number: "9990 or 2100"

and none of them seem to work for me....

so its isnt just me. i have the same problem i have tried turning off all firewalls att one point and yet still port 2100 was not open for me to host! (Windiws Vista home basic user here)

now it wont allow me to even join!!!!! god i miss the 2.1.x connection method it was so much easier

Bear in mind that there can be two places where you need to open ports:
- the hardware device (router/dsl modem) that connects you to the Internet
- your operating system may have its own software firewall

Just changing one can still leave the ports in the other one closed.

its the router i lack permissions for forwarding as it serves as a DNS proxy Damn!! maybe older versions ill invest in

Just configured the ports, I think, I can see games, but not host, ask me if port 2100 is open. Does that port have to have a spicific name?
