Yikes! You need notepad++, and it is free...dant3 5tra5t wrote:378 mb and unfortunatly notepad couldnt open it.

After getting that program, open the file with that, then paste 5-10 lines or so. I want to know what in the world caused that huge file!
and it ends here.

Re: record breaker stderr
sorry to pull a 1up on you, but i've just got this;

[PS:] no, it's not 'shopped, and i didn't fake the file either. i'll happily provide it as proof if challenged (but it'll be *.7z'ed, as there's no way in hell i'm uploading it raw).

Ouch. I've never seen an error file that big. That's almost like the math errors I make at school.
Could it be that one of those "infinite loops" went out of control?

Re: record breaker stderr
i'm pretty sure it's because the trunk i'm using is missing textures (maps are plain white with decals littered about the place). my FPS is also an order of magnitude lower than before.
i haven't yet been bothered enough to look into what i've done wrong.
[PS:] i tried opening it with VS2009 but it had a cry, i'll try Crimson Editor now and see if it'll fare any better (it won't).
[EDIT:] CE died as it hit the 2GB addressable memory limit.

I believe TextPad is known for its support of large files. It's proprietary, but it has a free trial: http://textpad.com/
I'm pretty sure Notepad++ can't handle files that large.

"Very large" is relative. In the multi-GB range, I believe Notepad++ starts to have some trouble...

Then again, everything has problems opening plain text files in the Multi-GB range.

No, I think TextPad works fine in that range. That's why I recommended it.Crushy wrote:Then again, everything has problems opening plain text files in the Multi-GB range.
