Hello, my idea is this:
1) you should be able to assign a commander to an other commander. It would then pass its orders down.
The assigned commander should be also able to be ordered seperatly.
so you could make an commander with normal units and support commanders with artillery bunker buster and repair units.
2) limit the attack of commanders to buildings or units.
so you could make the commander with artillery and bunker buster so that they attack only buildings except they are directly ordered else (especially important for the bunker buster so it waste not it long recharging weapons to normal units instead of bunkers)
3) make a better strucktur to unassing units so you would not unassing a commander with every order.
Assign commander / limit commanders attack

dont know my english is not perfeckt.
3) make a better way to unassing units so you would not unassing a commander with every order. (means normally your unit is assigned to a commander wen you give him a seperate order he is no more, i think this ais a bad way to manage that)

Re: Assign commander / limit commanders attack
1. the commanders ability to pass orders down is still limited with only its directly assigned units, it makes then do silly things like not retreat when ordered at the moment.
this needs ironed out first.
though i think you can assign a sensor to a commander, they artillary to the sensor.
2. there was talk of a better solution then this a while ago, wherein, the commander would target multiple enemy, then relay commands to assigned units so as to have assigned bunker busters target structures, & lancers target tanks.
3 im not sure what you mean there, though it sounds like units are not being assigned to the commander properly.
are you having an issue with the units not staying assigned?
or, removing units from being assigned?

1) oh too bad.
2) What happend to that idea will it be build in?
3) removing units from being assigned? <- this is what i mean, the way you remove units is not that perfeckt its not possible to give a single unit (or an group of units) an order without removing it from the commander as far i know.
