i dont like the lack of superweapons. in my other post, see wishlist #4, i stated that i would like 2 more superweapons. the reason i want these is to add more variety to the game.
also, although i like poundin the enemy with hellfires, groundshakers, and archangel platforms, they have too much range. able to fire across the map is fun but i think it makes the game somewhat unbalanced. and it leaves the AI or opponent unable to retaliate due to constant bombardment.
anyone else who feels this way post it here.
btw, this isn't to offend the dev staff, they've been doing a great job, its just a way for us to post what we dont like about the game, whether it be the original(pumpkin) or new(resurrection).
What is there in-game that you don't like?

AI may not have artillery assigned to a counter-battery sensor, but rest assured other players will do so.z741 wrote:... they have too much range ... it leaves the AI or opponent unable to retaliate due to constant bombardment ...

Yeah, well, I've been fixing that a bit. Archie currently only has around 60% of the range it used to, and Angel is no longer long-range artillery, so that makes it a bit better, at least.
But the lack of superweapons is kind of nice. I mean, we have four fortresses and a lassat. We don't really need anything more.

Artillary can be countered, to a degree, via VTOLs and tanks.
What I do think would be a good idea here though would be for artillary units being engaged to take a hit to accuracy because its simply difficult to snipe objects when you're being pounded by assault cannons.

Well, they die quickly to fire from pretty much anything, and they do low damage to tanks, so I'd say that's close enough.Avestron wrote:What I do think would be a good idea here though would be for artillary units being engaged to take a hit to accuracy because its simply difficult to snipe objects when you're being pounded by assault cannons.

Re: What is there in-game that you don't like?
only thing i dont like is some of the unit behaviors.
with the commanders, frequently when you tell them to retreat, the combat units keep attacking, and get killed.
other times is the lack of ability of units to manoeuvre past each other, resulting in a sort of rugby scrum.
though so far as i know from reading comments around the forums these are being worked on.
there arent particularly any weapons i dont like, though i do wish there was a specifc anti vtol tower that would send vtol only against vtol.

i agree with you, i hate traffic jams lol. also, wats up w/ the fire support option? is it the commander or units that give supporting fire?psychopompos wrote:only thing i dont like is some of the unit behaviors.

the anti-vtol tower is a good idea too.
yes and no. if you have a bak-up base, then yes, you can kill the artillery via hit n runs. if not, well then ur a dumbass/noob that just got screwed.Avestron wrote:Artillery can be countered, to a degree, via VTOLs and tanks.

Re: What is there in-game that you don't like?
fire support means that you allow the commander to designate targets for your artillery, anything you target while the commander has fire support will be attacked by your artillery emplacements. One huge disadvantage with using that option is that your artillery emplacements will ignore any other targets in their vicinity or spotted by sensors while the commander has the fire support.z741 wrote:wats up w/ the fire support option? is it the commander or units that give supporting fire?
