Hi all!
Is it possible to run a mod (for example BP) for WZ2100 on a mac? I'm using OS 10.4 and thought it was impossible until I read a post somewhere from Zarel, I believe, mentioning that he had a mac and also mentioning that he was running the BP mod (hazy recollection, sorry no quote). The BP (and other) mods sound great, but I was under the impression that mods couldn't simply be downloaded and installed on macs.
I checked the FAQs page, of course, but under the "installing a mod" line were only instructions for Windows and Linux as far as I could see.
I looked into the forum topic, "Important Warzone 2100 version 2.2.x mod info!" but the information, while super clear, seemed to be only for windows.
I checked into the BP mod topic itself "BecomePrey 2.92," where Zarel's instructions hinted at OSX compatibility in the instructions to "install with command-line options," which (btw) I also couldn't get to work (presumably because it is simply old advice!). I can explain in more depth why I couldn't get the command line option to work, but it probably doesn't matter anyway.
Thanks for reading, and I hope the problem is me!

Yes, I have a Mac, and yes, I run BecomePrey every once in a while, but I run BecomePrey on my Windows machine, not on my Mac.Sub Judicator wrote:Is it possible to run a mod (for example BP) for WZ2100 on a mac? That said, there used to be a bug that didn't let mods run on Macs. This was fixed, though, so you're in luck: it is possible to run mods on Mac OS X in the latest version (2.2.1).
Sorry, that FAQ page was made back when we had that bug. It's been fixed, so I've just updated the FAQ page with Mac OS X instructions.Sub Judicator wrote:I checked the FAQs page, of course, but under the "installing a mod" line were only instructions for Windows and Linux as far as I could see.
Yeah, well, I didn't make that topic, so I absolve myself of all blame on that one.Sub Judicator wrote:I looked into the forum topic, "Important Warzone 2100 version 2.2.x mod info!" but the information, while super clear, seemed to be only for windows.
Thanks for reminding me. I've updated the information there, as well.Sub Judicator wrote:I checked into the BP mod topic itself "BecomePrey 2.92," where Zarel's instructions hinted at OSX compatibility in the instructions to "install with command-line options," which (btw) I also couldn't get to work (presumably because it is simply old advice!).
