Do mods work with the Trunk build?

I discovered some nice model replacements for some buildings and weapons and wanted to use them. I installed them under /usr/local/share/warzone2100/mods/global/autoload, but they don't seem to work (no new models ingame). I'm using a trunk build (7788), could it be that mods do not work on that? Also, is the directory I installed them to the right one?

Mod autoloading was removed, since it was causing problems. You have to enable all mods on the command line.

@Buginator: Yes, I read it, but in the Showcase Forum, the instructions for installting the mods mislead me.

However, I was able to activate all mods via the --mod "mod-file-name" command line, Thanks to Cybersphinx^^.

The NWS & GFX Skin v4 mod however doesn't seem to work properly, the game crashes when enabling it. But since I can use the single files(which would be included in the mentioned mod), it doesn't matter.

just check all topics about mods. Either in the attachment box or within the description, there're instructions to install the mods to /mods/global/autoload.

... nothing I can do about that. That was the whole point of viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3088 in the first place.
I just assumed people would follow directions about the newer way we handle mods, and not use old information.
