Not sure what to say except how sad that is :( But at least you have the PS1 version, even if it is outdated compared to 2.2. I kept hold of my copy too. :)

yeah, the PS1 version is still very good, but it has really aged when i compare it to halo wars, which iv been playing lately. been busy playing it through on hard, but im stuck currently on the collective mission where you have to capture the uplink centre, always seems to get destroyed quickly.

I think one thing Warzone has over Halo Wars is that Warzone played well on a console, the UI for Warzone didn't have to be changed that much; it just blended so well. it was the best RTD for the PS. Warzone tried to enhance or improve a lot of the RTS mechanics we are used to. I wouldn't say Halo Wars was anything special to be honest. Plus when you look at 2.2 you see the team here have helped it to still look good even today.

This is the result of games getting cult followings, such as the Grand Prix series. there will always be people who keep it's spirit alive. That's one reason Warzone can still stand proudly alongside other, new RTS games today. There has not been anything quite like it

agreed, although i have to say that halo wars does work well on console and has a huge following.its basically an RTS for FPS fans and it was never going to be anything special other than a watered down version if you get me.

older versions have lower requirements
try the 206 version here http://developer.wz2100.net/wiki/Releases

besides that you could throw together a pcie system capable of running wz (amoung other things) for about £150
£40 for cpu
£40 for mobo
£60 for gfx card

I'm much inspired in my map making by the female form - curvaceous. As you you can see even the cliff-face and
water surface have dimensionality. O_o Of late the terrain ground units will move on has been modeled on the
bocage of Normandy circa WW2 D-day. Verticality - the diff between sea level & mountain top - also makes
game play more 3D, IMO. I wish I could make that range more pronounced in-game - like say 4 vertical height -
but unfortunately the Vtol absolute altitude code has to be re-written first.

Grim's GFX Mod made compatible with the latest game binary v.2.2.1 on the stock Arizona Tertiles. I still have to do a mip-map conversion of Grim's Custom Arizona Tertiles to complete the job and when I do I'll post a screen cap here of those Custom Tertiles in-game for comparison.
