Try Fraps. I use that to record my videos. You'll need VirtualDub to compress the videos as well.

Or you could just use VirtualDub to record your videos...if you can figure it out.

You can use VirtualDub to record ingame videos, yes. The problem for me is, I don't know how to properly use it.

If you go to youtube, you might be able to find a tutorial. I know someone there that uses Virtualdub for his playthroughs. His name is RPGenie.

The last time I tried to use it, my computer locked up while it was recording. I couldn't do a thing and the program was STILL recording. :gonk:

This is why I use Fraps. It's easy to use and understand.

The nice thing about VirtualDub however, is that it's freeware. :D

don't have a clue, i'm only getting compression-errors
i would give it a try when i'll have a little more time, but this will be no more than in five weeks :(

edit:
update:
got it to capture video, but missing sound (i'm using v1.8.8 stable)

i'll create screenshots for it if needed

edit2:
unable to capture video including audio with virtualdub!
tried with 1.9.2 experimental as well, but virtualdub does not want to capture any audio, unless it is coming from a real input-device :(

using fraps works after a few seconds!
but still needing virtualdub or any other video-compression programm.
fraps is creating a very low compressed video file (841 MB for 108 seconds; only 31,8 MB after compression with virtualdub)

does anyone want to have screenshots for anything? ;)

Try setting both the video and audio to "Full Processing mode"

Also you can fiddle around with the video compressor to see if there is one for you.

I used to use DivX and mpeg (video and audio compressors respectively)

You might have a problem with DivX if you go over 30 FPS. I use Indeo Video 5.10 because there are less restrictions to the FPS. I record at 60.

In my view the best recorder out there is WeGame. I would have said fraps but fraps uses too much resource, low end users have no chance to record and keep the same FPS.

As it happens, WeGame doesn't work with Warzone 2100.

However, I have taken the liberty upon myself to request that support for Warzone be added. The WeGame team agreed with my suggestion and say they will let me know when support has been added.

Of course, when I know, Ill let everyone here know

there is no "full processing mode" in capture-mode ;)
this is a setting in editing-mode, so either the audio of the source-video is streamed or converted

Snapz Pro is also a solution. :-)
