Well, personally, I think it should be beveled, like "Warzone". The only situation where it's embossed is when it's the really ugly "2100" font.

You still haven't told me how you want to be credited. I'm just going to call you "Neuralize" unless you give me something else you want to be called soon...
Neuralize wrote:How do you feel about me redesigning the splash screen that is shown when you exit the game?
I think we should remove it, so it only appears when we click "Credits".

That said, a "Credits" page should cite the active development team (let's say, anyone who's contributed more than twenty lines or the equivalent in the last six months), something like:

Game Developers:
- <Buginator> : Programming
- Gerard Krol <gerard_> : Programming, Textures
- Guangcong Luo <Zarel> : Programming, Balancing, and Documentation
- Per I. Mathisen <per> : Programming
- Giel van Schijndel <Giel> : Programming and Debian Linux and Windows Packaging
- Dennis Schridde <devurandom> : Programming and general Linux and Windows Packaging
- Freddie Witherden <EvilGuru> : Programming and MacOSX Packaging

Graphics:
- Bruce V. Edwards <cathuria> : 2D/3D Graphics
- Elio Gubser <elio, ohyeh> : 2D Graphics
- <Mysteryem> : 3D Graphics
- [Insert Neuralize here!]

Website and Documentation:
- Steven Koenig <kreuvf> : Documentation, translation
- Kim Metcalfe <lav-coyote25> : Documentation, Maps and Support
- Tim P. <kamaze> : Webmaster

(Tell me if I missed anyone)

Sorry, I'm a bit fried from this job.
Garrett Wiens-Kind. Yep.

I guess we should resize the logo for the website, and work on an icon,
or we could use one of your attempts from the first page, they didn't look bad..

Oh, and, um, that's 812, not 512...

You're right, here it is at 512. Corrected.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Here is it at 55 pixels high, which is what the current PNG is at in the corner of this site.

Can you also create a taller version, for use as the icon? Make it have roughly the same aspect ratio as the current icon (and try to optimize it for smaller sizes).

Here are some icon ideas, the logo doesn't look good normally because it's far too horizontal.

Here is everything to date in a zip file too. Included a re sized version of the logo that is to go on the website.

Any chance my attachment upload could be increased?

I'll memo Kamaze or Giel about the upload count. If you could PM or IM me some sort of IM address, that'd be nice, too.

The icon is a pretty interesting idea, but the "WZ" looks a bit big relative to the "2100". And I don't think it need to be that square, slightly wider than it is tall would work moderately well.

You can attach up to 3 attachments to a post, with a total quota of 3 MiB. Use multiple posts if you need more or zip it up.

Well, I was asking if it could be increased, I know the limits. No big deal, I can use my own hosting.

Great idea! I support this 100% since I like your version of the logo better than the one we already have.

Okay, the icon didn't get into 2.2.0 because Buggy decided not to consult me before reverting the icon. <_<

But here's how it's going to look in 2.2.1. :D

The 256x256 version might not make it, though - it sounds like our resource compiler doesn't support icons larger than 48x48.

Cool! I just installed version 2.2.0 and am pleased to see you included my graphics, haven't had a chance to play around with the game yet. Do you still want me to remake the icon? I didn't know you needed a 16x16 pixel tweak so I could manage that too. Of the issue concerning the ugly splash screen sceen at exit, can I remake it, or is it going to be removed.
