I've been playing the latest release (2.2 candidate 1) and have noticed that the music doesn't always play during the campaign. I haven't looked into the other game types but I always thought that the music was just for the campaign.
Also, if the music does decide to play at the start and you press the intelligence report button, then close it, the music is stops.
Apart from that, haven't experienced any other problems, apart from losing

Yeah, it is a known issue, but needs a re-write to fix the issue, and nobody has had time yet.MaNiac wrote:I've been playing the latest release (2.2 candidate 1) and have noticed that the music doesn't always play during the campaign. I strongly suggest you use a 3rd party dedicated music player if it really bugs you.
and it ends here.

I don't really see a reason to implement it. Anyone who wants music can really just use a music player like iTunes or something. o_O

I found a way to get it playing constantly during the game play.Zarel wrote:I don't really see a reason to implement it. Anyone who wants music can really just use a music player like iTunes or something. o_O
I noticed there was no music playing during my games at all. So I checked the music files under Warzone 2100 2.2 and saw it was blank, so I checked out the music files under the Warzone 2100 folder on the C: drive and there they were. A simple copy/paste of everything from that file into the 2.2 music folder and they were playing normally with no problems. I could go into menus and to intelligence screens or save my game and the music would still be playing when I returned to the game
As a result I added the Hell March themes from Red Alert in.
I don't know if people knew about copy/pasting the music to restore it to the game, so I am sorry if that is old news. But that's the fix at least.
