If BlackProject can change the sounds of Warzone 2100 and make them sound different, then maybe, with proper knowledge, I can do so too. I suspect it's the sound DLL that acts like a locked chest.
I've always wanted to make Warzone 2100 funny.
I've messed around with the demo version, and I did the same thing as a child, and made the weapons make funny sounds.
I've got a few videos on youtube. If you type in "Warzone 2100 (Imperial Guard Speech)" You'll find an example of what I did with the sounds.
Is is possible to change the sounds in the game?

As for changing *anything* in the game, yes, you just have to unzip the .wz file, and you will find everything.
That is how all the mods work. They just 'override' what the default files are, and there you have it.
and it ends here.

Re: Is is possible to change the sounds in the game?
I looked through the Warzone files and found these:
/*weapon sounds*/
audio "rocket.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "RotLsr.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Rotary Laser*/
audio "GaussGun.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "LrgCan.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Large Cannon*/
audio "SmlCan.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Small Cannon*/
audio "MedCan.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Medium Cannon*/
audio "FlmThrow.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Flame Thrower*/
audio "PlsLsr.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Pulse Laser*/
audio "BemLsr.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Beam Laser*/
audio "Mortar.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "HwtzFlgt.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800 /*Howitz Flight*/
audio "MgBar1.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "MgBar2.wav" oneshot 70 1 1800
audio "MgBar3.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "MgHeavy.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "MgTower.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "Splash.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "AsltMG.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "RapdCan.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "HiVelCan.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
audio "NxsTower.wav" oneshot 100 1 1800
Can I replace them with my own sounds, or are they part of the game and cannot be removed?
