How can I be sure my virus scanner got rid of the trojan? It put some trojan in quarantine and I then deleted it. I did a virus scan twice and came up with nothing, plus I did search and destroy which came up good. However when my son was on the laptop last night, the laptop kind of froze up which was unusual, then I couldn't get my search and destroy to come up which made me think that it somehow wasn't really gone. Are there any things I can do to make sure? What are some good online scans etc? Thanks so much!

There is no trojan - as we point out - it's a false positive. This means that the virus scanner thought there was something wrong, when there really isn't.

Computers can slow down and freeze for a variety of reasons (90% of those reasons involve Microsoft ;) ) but if you've been doing unsafe things on the Internet recently, I've heard that Malwarebytes has a popular scanner.
