FYI, video issue on ubuntu 8.10 (Intreped)

I Initially installed Warzone and the screen sporadically goes blank in the game. Game sound is also sometimes affected. The problem may be related to using effects under compiz.

Have you tried disabling compiz and seeing if the problem still occurs?
