Windows LoadGame Crash?

Post by imccoody »

So i was really excited when i found this website, because a long long time ago I really enjoyed playing this game.
And today i played it for about 5 hours straight, and saved the game. I was playing Skirmish.

I came back awhile ago to play it, and the game opened, it went to list of load games screen, and when i click on
the saved game it goes to the loading screen with the stars whooping by, but then the screen turns black and im returned to the desktop and the game is exited.

Ive searched through these forums and the only thing that i've found is editing the "target" box in shortcut on the desktop but it doesnt work.

any ideas?

Feel free to upload the save games which are causing problems. You might even want to create a new ticket with regards to it.

Go here, and fill in as much details as possible. http://developer.wz2100.net/newticket

The savegames are in your config directory. Along with your keymap.map file, screendumps, maps and music directories.

You need to zip/rar/whatever up the savegamename.es & savegamename.gam & savegamename directory and everything in it.
Also specify which version of the game this savegame is from.
Upload crash dumps (*.RPT & stderr.txt) files found in the same directory as the warzone2100.exe program.
and it ends here.

No, the dump file was generated on a binary without debug symbols, so it does not say much. You need to download the debug version to make good crash dumps.
