Holy cow O_O

I never thought that after 10 years i would see a brilliant game like Warzone 2100 being set free on to the public and constantly upgraded further... I'm simply amazed! :D
First off I have to tell all of you working on this project, that I admire your zeal, efforts and work and that I also want to THANK YOU ALL for your work which has enabled me to freely download and re-play one of my all-time favorite RTS videogames. Now, for some sweet memories:

I first played Warzone 2100 about 8 years ago on college (I'm nearing 29 now :P ), when i became a caretaker for our computer classroom... It was hidden in a non-suspicious folder on a PC since it was forbidden to put on any games, but I left it as it was and told no-one about it - primarily becouse ever since i started it up, i liked it instantly! ;)
I never was a fan of cutting edge fancy games, since most of those were IMO just mediocre games wrapped in shiny foil. I liked old-school stuff that didn't look shiny and sparkly, but had the potential of holding me in front of the monitor untill morning, if need be. So it was no surprise that i was hooked instantly... I remember that sometimes me & some of my friends went to get some drinks & smokes and stayed in the classroom playing WZ2100 untill the sun came up without even noticing anything outside - and when such stuff happens, i call that a bloody good game! xD
Anyway, later i put Warzone away and started to play other stuff, lots & lots of other stuff, but I always kept it in my heart, if not in my mind. Yesterday i got fed up with everything else and thought by myself: "Hmm, I'm feeling nostalgic... What did I play again 8 years ago?" And then the intense craving for post-nuclear wastelands and hundreds of tank configuration resurfaced and brought me here. I downloaded the newest release, tried it out and my eyes almost fell out! O_O The new graphic options, mods, music etc. are GREAT!
I once again have to thank you all for continually developing this gem of RTS, your work and efforts are greatly appreciated by many more people than you imagine, all over the world. I'll definetly come back and check out this site much more often now, especially since I can't wait to see the great VIDEOS implemented in the game again

BTW: i have an older version (1.10) installer - exe - i downloaded some years ago, which has all the videos inside it, and they actually play correctly during the cutscenes; sadly, the music is missing and there are no advanced graphic options... So i was wondering: if it would help you guys to analyze it how it was done and make stuff easier, i can upload it for you somewhere if you wish. Let me know, thx!

Bye, keep up the great work :D

Really? 2.1 has the old music, the only thing new about graphics is shadows, and it doesn't even have the videos yet. Other than the high resolution, there's not all that much new. :P That stuff's planned for 2.3.

No need, we already have the videos. They're already in the next version (2.2); we just haven't released the next version yet (still sorting out the bugs, etc).

Oh, hehe, yes, sorry for the misunderstanding :) I meant that I last saw this game at least 5 years ago in a different version, which didn't have the graphic options for beyond 800x600 resolution, so now that i am playing it in 1200x1024 I'm really happy to see the difference ;) Also, that old version didn't have any music and i played it in silence except the notifications and gun sounds which robbed me of some "game atmosphere", which is fixed now :3

GREAT NEWS :D I can't wait to see the whole story line again... Anyway, untill then i'll train my rusty fighting skills on the latest version... Thanks for your replies :)
