Can't get cheat mode

I tried...
don't do anything more

Here is what i do

• I enter the command line "warzone2100 --cheat" in the terminal
• It says "*DEBUG MODE ENTABLED*" and the game start
• I press "t" key
• I type "deity"
• I press "enter"
• It is written in the top of my screen "Green:deity"
• And... nothing happens

After hitting SHIFT+BACKSPACE, try it again.  <--- THAT is how you enter cheat/debug mode.

If you just want to display full radar, hit ctrl+g

No idea.  All I can assume is that you are doing something wrong.

I use it for testing, and I can tell you that it should work, both the trunk & the BETAs

but i've Ubuntu, version wz2100 2.1, i found it in the package installer.

and the cheatcode does'nt work .

command line : warzone2100 --cheat

i saw that i've to enter the command and press shift + backspace, but it does'nt work !

the linux version don't have cheatcode ? :p

i've uninstalled warzone, i used your package installer.
now i've no error ;

Please stop your excessive use of new lines, I am lazy and thus do not want to scroll more than necessary.

You have to press shift and backspace simultaneously while playing. It does not work while in the menus.

Well, I know we got Russian, German, and others people with their respective keyboards using cheats, so I can only guess that you are doing something wrong.

Try resetting your keymap by clicking on the trashcan icon a few times. Then make sure you have in the config file cheat=1 or just specify --cheat on command line.
Then hit right-shift+ backspace, then hit enter, and type whatever code.

Note, some codes are disabled in MP mode.

Russian user here.
Gentoo is my system.
Started game with --cheat option, pressed Shift+Backspace. This enabled cheat mode for me. Have no idea how to help you, sean2385
Maybe your desktop environment locking a Shift key? For example for layout switching or dragging the windows?
