Hello

Post by hiimpartyboy »

Hi,I'm new to this board, but not to the Warzone 2100 universe. I own the original game and I compared it to this one. Boy howdy,is there a difference(I just wish i could get the cheats to work(I'm not command-line friendly) :P . Weird thing though,I can't patch it for some reason. It still shows it as version 1.01,even though i ran the patch. Oh well*sigh* :P In any case, I had a random thought in regards to the 3D textures and rendering what have you. Why focus on static, still tracks for the vehicles, when they can be animated to move. Granted I do not know how to do that, but it was something I was thinking about. It would give that nice realistic touch to the wheeled and tracked units. An example of this would be C&C:Generals, yes the gameplay sucked, but the graphics were nice and the tanks showed actual movement of the tracks and kicked up dust. Aside from that I'm running windows 7,so there you have it xD . Just introducing myself here. Laters! :D

...You don't need to patch our version of Warzone.

It should show as version 2.1.2.

Sorry,i was meaning the retail version of the game(which I own,had the PS1 release too).:3 I did not specify that before. Apologies in advance! :P Windows 7 tends to fight w/alot of my old progs, but it's a tradeoff to being more stable than vista and more user friendly than XP HAHA! xD

Go to your properties of your shortcut for WZ then add at the very end (You can even copy and paste this) --cheat

And it should work ;p Just press left shift and backspace at the same time during a Skirmish game or campaign.

Cheats

Post by hiimpartyboy »

Well tried it and pasted as you suggested. It doesn't work. Maybe I did something wrong. Does --cheat go after the quotes on the target or before?

Got it. It works. Thanks again. Man that was brutal! xD Reminds me of cracking open the console to cheat on Heroes 5.
