Cannont Add Downloaded Maps to Warzone.

I saw in another thread about this issue, but after fiddling around for several hours I could not get these bloody things to load.


I guess ill start with the maps. They came in a weird file setup like so


As you can see, there is a normal formats, and a winrar formats. I am curious to which one I use.

I didn't mess with the maps any further, I used the Non Winrar files (WDG) and went to look for the Maps folder.

The C:/Programs/warzone 2100/ does not have a maps folder.


However the C:/Ravin.pc/docments/warzone2100 2.1 does.


However when I attempt to create a map folder in the program files, or when i attempt to add the maps in the map folder in the documents area. The Maps do not load.

Running Vista Home 32/16 bit. Nothing real serious, Im sure it has something to do with the Rar files and the WDG.

Also, you should add "How to add"Maps to the common FAQ page.


Update.

The Winrar files contain the same files... So nothing there.

Warzone version 2.x cannot load .wdg files. You need to look for .wz files now. Only 1.x versions could use .wdg files.

Those are WDG files - they're made for an older version of Windows.

Fortunately, Buggy made a WDG -> WZ converter in this linked thread, so you can use that.

Put the .wz files it generates into your Documents/Warzone 2100 2.1/maps/ folder.

Also, you should add "How to add"Maps to the common FAQ page.

Yeah, these maps I downloaded off the WZ Clan that had them up, So i take it noone has made any new maps in quite sometime.
