Here is my newest map. It is designed for team 1 (Human) to be in positions 0,1,2 and 3 and team 2 (AI) to be in positions 4,5,6 and 7.

I did 0 to 3 on team vs 4,5,6,7 no teams. talk about getting over run faster than I was ready for. After 30 to 40 mins I was the only one left on my team.
I'm going to try a outer bases vs the inside bases.

Yup, it's more of a survival map than anything else. Me and three other people played against 4 aiv on max cheating. We got obliterated . We just got bombard and the ai was building scourge tanks.

It looks like you can increase the texture resolution from the main menu (if your computer supports it).

I think it can work if the outside base areas start with less oil spots, maybe half what is in each outside base area maybe?
Could you make a version of this map with just 4 outside base starting points, random oil cites in the center, and lots of building in the center area so it looks a small city.

To get the skyscraper features I'd have to change the tileset to urban though unless I added my universal features mod, but then it would collide with any (most) mods that are used. I might do that sort of thing to the map, but not now.

I did 0 to 3 on team 7 this time vs 4,6 team 0 vs 5,7 team 1.
I started on one of the outside bases and the rest of the had the center.
after 2 hours I and my team pushed in to each base
right before the Win video should have played the game locked up.
I got a 91mb (4.5Mb tar+gzipped) debug log but nothing at the end of it really stands out to me.
I didn't cheat at all, never have in this game.
Winning on this map is hard and where I started on one of the outside base areas gave me a chance to win.

Did the limits get up for the new render ? I just saw the texture size limits were upped ( 32 to 128 ) to ( 32 to 2048 )
I was on 128 I have changed 512 worked and changed it 2048 that seemed to work but I need to see what happens with an 8 way fight.
I have 2Gb of ram and 512Mb on my NV8400.
I've updated the map to only use the standard tileset, it can be put in your maps folder with no worries now. If you do find any areas that aren't right then please tell me where so I can fix it. (In some places there is no longer a smooth transition between tiles, but this is the only way to do it)
I may also redo a few areas where there is now a lack of detail.

This map is kinda strange. I took the center spot, with 3 AI partners, with the outer 4 on a team against us, and we managed to completely overrun the outer 4 in less then 20 minutes.
Still fun though.
