Yesterday I took part in a beggars canyon left vs. right game. I was in the lower left corner. Initially I did quite well and was able to launch some attacks against the player in the lower right corner. I destroyed some buildings and built about five MG bunkers just outside his base. I kept 10 viper/halftrack/light cannon tanks nearby.
He tried to take the position, initially without success. After some time a flamer cyborg came along. It destroyed three of the bunkers, while all bunkers and tanks were firing on him, after he had taken out half of my tanks I retreated, the cyborg followed me into my base, with the remaining tanks firing on him during my retreat. It didn't seem to take any damage and did some damage to my base defeses, then retreated. Could this have been some bug or connection problem? Is it more likely to be some cheat?
Well, I would probably have lost that game anyway, since the other enemies were quite strong and attacked with VTOLs not too long after this cyborg incident and me and my allies had neglected air defenses.

Could have been an out of sync issue.

That's interesting. Yesterday, I took part in a FishNets game, left vs right. I was in the top right. My teammate in the lower right kept complaining about being attacked, and the guy in the lower left apparently built right up to his base, until I wiped out that guy with some flamer cyborgs.
Anyway, I think that was a connection issue. It usually doesn't last that long, though. Ask the other players if they knew about the cyborg. It's possible to achieve this effect with cheating, but I don't think anyone would do that.

And when there is a connection issue, and it isn't bad enough for the game to drop the socket, the game gets very messy, since there are a back log of packets that need to be given attention, and AFAIK, we don't really handle that very well, so the game gets even more out of sync.
Somehow, after XXX time, we need to clean the pipes (so to speak), and do a mass resync or something.

and it ends here.

I read somewhere that there was an "invincible cyborg" or something like that, that was actually an easter egg.
